Overview: CRE-TEC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team. As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining all project-related documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient document flow within the organization. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills will contribute to the successful completion of our construction and repair projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Document Management:
    • Receive, log, and track all incoming and outgoing project documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
    • Maintain an organized and secure document filing system, both electronically and physically.
    • Ensure all documents are properly labeled, categorized, and archived for easy retrieval.
  2. Version Control:
    • Monitor and manage document versions to ensure that all team members have access to the most current and relevant information.
    • Implement and enforce document naming conventions and numbering systems.
  3. Distribution:
    • Distribute documents to relevant project stakeholders, both internally and externally, in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Keep records of document distribution and receipt.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular quality checks on documents to ensure they meet company standards and project requirements.
    • Identify and report any discrepancies or inconsistencies in project documentation.
  5. Compliance:
    • Ensure that all project documents are in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
    • Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits or inspections.
  6. Communication:
    • Collaborate with project teams to facilitate effective document flow and information sharing.
    • Respond to document-related inquiries from team members and external parties.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in document control within the construction or engineering industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in document management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
